Tonight is that special night when we do something super BAD......first of all....we party like the sassy girls that we are, so make sure you meet me in The Parlour at BAD GIRLS at 9 p.m.!!! Its going to be soooo fun!!! At 10 p.m. is when you get to see all of the brand new November Kits, and they are so very GORGEOUS!!!!

I am so happy that PROJECT 52 has launched....what happiness for me to have my dream realized that artists now have a place to go to not only corroborate with one another, but also to learn....to grow....to understand and be inspired in the vast field of the FABULOUS and WONDERFUL world of MIXED MEDIA ART.

Today was Ayala's High School's Football Tailgate Party and it was Angelena's first time performing for her JV team. School is going to start pretty soon here and I can't believe my youngest is starting High School...WOW! It was a really fun party with lots of the Chino Hills restaurants there with tons of good food. Here are the girls waiting to perform...

There is so much going on right now....WOW....I was literally shocked when I went to register my kids **who are both in High School this year** Where did the Summer go??? It seemed like yesterday that they both just got out. And school is not the only thing that is starting....Peter just joined a new Hockey Club....he will be playing for the Ontario STARS this season. His schedule is very busy and very demanding....he is on the ice 6 days a week, but I must admit I love watching him play. Hockey is so darn fast paced and EXCITING! Here are some pictures of Peter at his last game playing for Anaheim....bittersweet...they never made it to the finals..but they gave it their all.....
How I will manage once again another year with travel Hockey and Angelena's cheer schedule...I have no idea...but as all of us moms know...we just do it...they don't call me She-Ra for nothing...LOL...:)

LOL.....ok...so I am NOT the professional photographer..I have totally come to terms with that....but I am bound and determined to learn Photoshop.....ummm...it might take me a while...but I will do it *stomps foot*!!! I also confess to having bought a lot of books...ughhhh...the truth is I adore books...I collect them, but sadly when it comes to learning I do better hands on or just learning on my own by experimentation....sooooo....tonight I am sitting in my office...I grab my camera and shoot strait up at my chandelier....I upload and start playing around.....wth????? look what I did....don't ask, K???? I am learning....this is the work of a first day student....ROFL....
Heyyyyyyy...I told you to be nice....I figure I have to document it somewhere...this student needs comparisons....*tee hee*
art. yep...pure and simple...have no idea what I would do without it. My life would be soooo drab....lifeless...yuck...don't even want to think about it. And when you get right down to it, *here I go with my philosophy again* lol....art really does use all of your senses and it depends on the whole of you. wth???? What am I talking about??? Well....I started thinking about how appreciative I am that I have the good use of all of me to be able to create. Who can say that we don't need good dexterity...good sight...hearing....judgement....the ability to see the outcome first and then work backwards....all of this is truly a gift...and for this gift, I thank the Lord every single day.
I have been having fun with my heat gun yet again.....the ongoing joke is that I am going to heat the wrong element one day and .....well....we don't want to ponder the what??? do we??? lol.... I have to keep reminding myself to read the medium jars before heating....and holy cow...thank goodness for chemisty class...lol. Sooooo...what the heck is it that I have been heating up lately......take a look...this is in my latest August Class for the Feature Kit, "Les Rues de Paris".....
ok...back to playing and wish me luck that I don't blow up the house...LOL

Why that title???? I don't know..it sounded good....and ya know...heres another thing that feels good....just to ramble....sometimes it is soooo hard to be the owner of anything....let alone an art kit site....welllllll.......I don't know...I am just numb today....I am tired....I am also tired of not being able to talk about my woes openly. You know how that goes....prim. proper. politically correct...and yet....I am human...I am just like everyone else. I guess that is why I like this BLOG....I consider it my own little safe haven...its seperate...a place where I can come when I get off work...*sigh*....I need a vacation and quick....where is the dang Calgon?? Or at least the Executive Head for Coca Cola???lol....
Ok...so.....I never stay in a "mood" for long...*see yesterday's half full post* *giggles*...................
And.....actually life is very good....look at what I got in the mail today!!!!!!!!!!!
Almost 60 sheets of the most gorgeous. luscious. funky. touchable. 100% wool felt!!!!! For now...I am just petting it....but pretty soon I am going to attack it with my scissors and pretty it up with lots of gorgeous stick pins, ribbons, buttons, yep...you get the idea...I am going to let my imagination soar.....WOW...that sure sounds like heaven!!!!

When you look at this glass...how do you see it??? Honestly....I always see it as half full. Lately....life has been so busy for me and full of so many challenges...I continually have to remind myself that the glass IS half full. That I am blessed in so many different ways...so I decided to come here and pour my heart out about what is it that makes me smile at the end of a long and tough day???
1. I have a family that loves me....*and understands how important my work is to me* Bless their hearts. <3
2. I have the best job in the whole world with a community of women that I adore. Have no idea what I would do without them. *if you're reading this girls....((((hugs))))* xoxo
3. I have a roof over my head and food on the table.
4. My bed is very comfy and cozy....wth Wendy????? lol.....seriously...this is important to me....
5. My family is healthy, happy, and they smile a lot. :)
6. My mailman Rudy is very nice to me and doesn't mind that he picks up hundreds of boxes per month....*wth Wendy???? You nut!!!* LOL.....seriously.....I just love the guy!
7. The Coca Cola bottling company accepted me as their Customer of the Year....do you see the half full glass is Coka Cola....btw....its Diet Coke!!! ROFL......
8. I have craft supplies galore to play with...even it did take me 15 years to amass my treasure trove...*tee hee*
9. I live in a peaceful community with wonderful neighbors that I can count on. :)
10. Good Greif.....Juicy is a hop. skip. and a jump. away....oh yeah...and Tarina Tarintino...Retail Therapy helps to see that glass as half full....LOL....
p.s. Dear Coca-Cola Bottling Company...if you are reading this....I am honestly THE BEST candidate for Customer of the Year....and OK...fine...you can twist my arm for an advertising deal...BAD GIRLS....COKA-COLA...hmmmm......has a nice ring to it, huh?????? *tee hee*

I am really EXCITED for Angelena...this is going to be her first year in High School Cheer. She has worked hard for this position all her life as an All Star Cheerleader and a gymnast. I am about to send her off to her very first High School Cheer Camp....I am probably going to cry when I leave her...I am a weepy, emotional mom....good grief...but I am excited about all we have going on right now. The girls are as we speak putting the finishing touches on thier decorations for thier dorm room. They initially planned on a beach theme, but decided it wasnt original enough...so now we have a bubble theme going...here they are stringing bubble gum balls to hang in their room...how FUN!!!! And I am about to go and finish off the clear plastic throws I am making for their beds that are stuffed with gumballs...LOL....I will try to post a pic of those later! :)
btw...for those of you who don't know...Angelena is the brunette. ;)

That this little girl..........in all her vintage goodness...
Would grow up to be a freakin' collector of old worn goodies???? *tee hee* I was foraging around my office, as it's going through a major overhaul right now and I found this cute little picture of me!!! Gosh...I am going to have to try to fix it up with my new found PhotoShop skills...LOL...it does need some tender loving care.
So....as I am rummaging, I found all kinds of goodies...and I thought I would share with you girlies some of the things that I adore collecting...OK...dont fall out of your seat...I know it comes as no surprise that I like all the big, blingy, gaudy stuff, right???....ok...so I ADORE vintage earrings...here are some that I really like....
ok....now mind you...Peter just about had a mild cardio when I bought the yellow ones...but come on!!! Aren't they AWESOME??? Even me...I don't usually go for yellow, but I love the gold metal swirls...ekkkkkk....now I need the outfit....a good chance to shop again..LOL....and ya know what??? Seriously...I hate to admit this..and I hope Peter doesn't read this, but I really like wearing big hoop earrings....I mostly just collect and look at these...OMG!!! I know...horrible...but I have been thinking that I might start altering them and dangle some type of crystals or something from them so I can make them into something more of my liking to actually wear. And honestly...I have tried these type of earrings on again and again, and I don't know if its just my face shape or something, but they don't look as good on me.
So...next up...I love lockets....all types...this one, even though it was damaged...as you can see the center enamel is broken, but its charm just blew me away...had to get it, and I imagined it adorning the cover of an album....
How do I decorate my whole house, including my scraproom??? With antiques.....I absolutely loathe new things.....so I came across this cutesy little charmer for the top of my desk....
I loved the hand painting and the carving on this!!! Soooo pretty...and what am I using it for???....take a peek....
Yep....some of my crystals!!!The drawers are lined with the original red velvet, which is in perfect condition, so I thought...ahhhh...perfect softness and protection for my little gems!
When I found this pretty pink wooden case I was in heaven...take a look at the gorgeous print that is on the front!!! And when you open it there is a mirror and a sectioned off area for trinkets and treasures!!!
