Please welcome these new artistes to our DESIGN TEAM!!!!

I now fully understand why I don't have Design Team Calls...it is plain frustrating and oh so difficult when you have a ton of awesome applications in front of you and you  can only choose a few. Gosh...I must allude to the fact that this was one of the single most difficult decisions I have ever had to make. I had some really DROP DEAD GORGEOUS artwork in front of me and WOW girls....I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you who put yourself out there and applied and let me take a peek into your heart and soul as I viewed your beautiful work. I promise you that I had MANY of you chosen, and just to prove that fact, please notice how instead of the two I was supposed to go with, I chose 8 more designers. The choices were so vast, yet the spots so few...what to do???? Well....you take as many as you can!!! And that I did!

I honestly don't belive in placation...and no false promises...so when I say this, please take me seriously...we are a very serious business and we are passionate about what we do here...and because of my experience with this call, I doubt I will ever do it again...I will happily go back to invitation only, so please know for all of you who applied and didn't make it, and for all of you who didnt apply and would like to design for us in the future, please stay with us....make yourself known on our boards....make yourself stand out...show us your artistic skills in our gallery and most of all just show us how BAD you can be!!! *hehehehehe* There will certainly be positions available in the future.

Please also take notice that I dont call our designers just that...they are true artists...and with that being said...all BAD GIRLS are ARTISTES....they know how to push thier creative limits and they fear no mediums on their open canvas....I really want to stress that in our community and within our team....so with all that being said...let me share with you our new additions to our team and share one piece of their artwork that they submitted and a peek into my mind as to what I liked about each one....please join me!!!................

GINA de JONG:

What I adore about this layout is Gina's ability to create comfortable harmony with so many different elements. I also love how her use of titling illustrates her picture so perfectly.

 

LIZ HICKS:

What a bright and fun Layout! Liz really is passionate about her techniques and she just blew me away with her use of so many different fun and unique ideas here....she used two different mediums on her letters, stitched boldly in red, and used a profusion of color in her flowers...and made it all pop on a black background!

 

KARA HAUPT:

Kara makes me feel like I am at an art gallery. Her work is very thought provoking with it's funky edge...you just have to take one look at her art and you know where her passions lie. I absolutely love how she creates with zero fear. In this layout I love the random, yet purposeful placement of all her wonderful goodies...so refreshing!

 

HEIDI KELLEY:

OK....now how seriously wicked cool is this LO of Heidi's? I was simply awed how she had the ability here to make everything take center stage...notice how nothing takes a backseat ride??? Everything has equal attention and it all pops on the white background. I also love her ability to layer with such ease and adds dimension that is beautiful!

 

ADRIENNE LOOMAN:

Adrienne's style is just so gorgeous and always POPS right off the stage. Her ability to use bright color effortlessly just blows my mind, and her funky style is so unique...she owns it with confidence. And her way of mixing skulls with bling??? JUST WOW!!!! This fabulous gal can mix anything together with ease and make it look DROP DEAD AMAZING!!!

 

WENDI MANUEL-SCOTT:

Wendi is sooooo amazing how she is always thinking outside the box...and in this layout I was so inspired by how she created a little shadow box directly on the page...sahhhweeeet!!! And I adore her approach when it comes to color...she just pours it on in such a gorgeous way!

 

JILL SPROTT: 

I love Jill's fresh and funky style....she illustrates that she is always thinking in such a creative way...she uses items that are so unique and unexpected making you wish you could just get inside of that cute little head of hers. I also love her journaling approach...she loves to pour her thoughts and feelings on the page, which is so amazing that she blends the two elements of art and journaling in a way that is so special!

  

SUZANNE QUILLEN:

Suzanne's style was so refreshing and pleasing to me. Her artwork is always so balanced, so pretty, so focused...you take one look at any of her work and you  know right away just what you are looking at and what it means. Can I safely say striking???? She also has a bold use of elements and colors that command your attention!

 

All of the new designers will be working with the new upcoming March kit, so stay tuned to see much more! You may also view all the work that they created for the Design Team Call very soon in the BAD GIRLS GALLERY...so stay tuned and get ready to be blown away some more!
