A long time in the making, Novembers project kit is very near and dear to my heart. I had to go on numerous antique haunts to find exactly what I envisioned...I had to have the vintage "Dick and Jane" books from my childhood, I had to have vintage ribbons, vintage european and childrens sheet music was another prerequisite on my list, as was vintage embossed german children papers and vintage french silk fabrics....and the list goes on.
I want to relay a little story about the vintage trims I found. I came across a woman who had a very antique victorian chest...she was willing to part with some of the contents....and as I peeked inside and very carefully handled the delicate trims...I just knew they were perfect for this project...you cannot imagine how ecstatic I was....only problem is that when you are dealing in goods this old, you don't alway get a plethora of it..but ya know girls...a smidgen here, a smidgen there is all you need sometimes to make a huge statement when the detail and charm is this gorgeous!
I will be honest....ever since I started auto ship of my projects and add ons, there has been an overwhelming response. The project kit when it goes up only has one left. I know...I know....a lot of you still want them...but please listen to a couple of my concerns...
For one...I have always kept my projects in very small limited edition....and you may ask why???? Well...I guess when it comes to art I am a little more concerned with originality than selling a lot. I love being able to place the vintage goods in my projects. If the edition becomes too large then I will not be able to find the things I love in that kind of quantity.
Second...there is this part of me that really wants everyone who makes my projects to have a very limited edition piece of art. I mean...how special is it really if there are 100's floating around?
With all that said, we are pondering adding a few more spots...and I really do mean a few. This will most likely take place in December or January. If you want to be added to the Project Kit Club wait list for Auto Ship, you can email me at: info@badgirlskits.com. I will take you girlies on a first come, first served basis.
Now...for the really good stuff...a few peeks of what this special projects holds......
You might be wondering what this months project is going to be? "Memoirs 2009" is a gorgeous book that is meant to hold your memories as you wander through the upcoming New Year.
We will be effortlessly mixing the elegant with the playful and whimsical for a book that you will cherish forever. xoxooxoxox

I totally agree with your limited number of project kits! Your creations are completely gorgeous and unique....to make them available in large quantity, however pleasing it may be to all of us can limit your creativity and special touch when it comes to making sure you have enough treasures for each project. Good for you for setting your business according to your preferences! Your project kits will only increase in demand!

A-MA-ZING!!!! I am SO glad I got on autoship for this when you first offered it!!!!! I also LOVE the idea of it being a "limited edition" type thing with the projects. I think that is EXACTLY the way you should do things-the way YOU want!!! Can't wait to see all the goodies you've got for us!!!

Hi!
How do I get placed on the auto-ship list?
Posted by: Cee | November 04, 2008 at 05:29 PM
I too am glad that I went on the Auto ship list and even after taking myself off for a few days of insain house moving madness was able to sleep at night knowing I was back on...
I've noticed you getting a bit of a bashing of late Wendy regarding $ cost of this kit in particular and time taken to add the instrutions on the message board...
regarding the $$$ yes we ae all feelingthe pinch esp. those of us in other countries with yucko exchange rates... That said, it's still a free chjoice of to spend or not to spend.. I choose o buy this kit even withthe yucko echange rate? and why wouldn't you think it would make sense to get something simula down here? first of it would take months for the new goodies to hit our shores as for the amount it would cost even now with the rate as low as it is it's still cheaper to buy from you than to buy at my local store!
Then there's your work that goes into these kits Wendy.. you can see he labour of love and possiably a bit of hate that goes into every item that you pick for these kits.. sourcing new items and matching them up with other companies.. adding in a few select bad girl only bits yep lots of work with lots of talent... but you project kits truly are a piece of yourself that you are willing to share with us lucky few... I wouldn't care if I didn't see the instructions for this months kit until this time next year as for me it's enough to know that I get to play with these special items chossen just for us to use.. whilst on a shoping adventure you stumbled across some delightful bits and pieces and are your thoughts like mine no off couusre unlike me you think of us and how much plessure we will derive from this extra bits not like me who would keep it all for herself...
Even when you can't find enough to go in the project kits you still offer up the items for sale on the website...
You are truley a talented, gifted and wonderful lady and I for one will be forever grateful for the day i found your site Mwahxxx honey...
