Bad Girls

Vintage Goodness graces your July feature kit....

I really don't know how many guardians angels I have, but I suspect one of them is in charge of leading me to exactly what I need when I design your kits....take for instance these DROP. DEAD. AMAZING. BINGO CARDS...OK...I have found many of Bingo cards in my hey day....and I have always found them in different hues of black, parchment, red, and blue...but NEVER in GREEN!!!!

 And....LOOKY girlies...they are the perfect shade for the kit too!!! Yayyyyyy!!!! And get a load of those Bingo Markers....again...I Have them by the tons in wood...but these are plastic and they totally remind me of the old albums!!! LOL.....

The envelopes, while I can't call them exactly Vintage, as they are from the 80's...they really are special. They were released as a set that you had to collect over time, and what they are is first day of issue envelopes with stamps. I was very lucky indeed to find an estate sale where the person had collected a few sets and I snatched them up. They released one envelope per state....kind of cool!!! THe one shown above is Idaho! HOpe you enjoyed the sneekie peek today girlies....

What comes in a pretty pink tote bag????

WOW ladies....I have a lot to chat about tonight. >>>> and you say....when do you not have a lot to chat about Wendy??? LOL...I know...*tee hee* I am in my element tonight....got my cuppa...and I armed and dangerous with photos...LOL...ok...so..........

What does come in a pretty.pink.tote.bag.????

Hmmmm.....me thinks its something for spoiled.pretty.princesses...aka...BAD GIRLS.....

and I also think this is what they looked like before they left our offices to come to you!!!!...OK...now please girlies...indulge me and leave a post to me and make me feel like we did good with our revamp....our they purrrtyyyyy...or what??????????? *wink wink*.....

 

OK...I wanna chat about WHY we decided to repackage our feature kits like this. Well...the first thing I took into consideration was what would I like to see in an art kit if I was ordering it. If I wanted it, then I surely want to give that high level of quality to you. So, my answer was:

* It had to be able to contain the supplies in a neat and tidy way. Answer: Tote Bag

* It was a must that the name of the kit and password was also attached at all times. Answer: Front Pocket on Tote Bag. In the photo...we show the postcard hanging to the front...this is our decision because we don't want you to miss it....on the back of the postcard is all your information...wait til you see it girlies...its printed all neat and gorgeous!

* It was also a must that these be able to store away in a neat way. Answer: Handles on Tote Bag....now, is it now sweet that you will be able to if you choose, hang these up all in a row and access as you please??!!!

* You know me girls...They absolutely had to be GORGEOUS and STYLISH!!!!

* And...one more thing....they had to be Functional...so...if you want to grab your art kit and go to a crop..voila! It's already packed for you!

You gotta love it! I know we do over here at BAD GIRLS HEADQUARTERS!!!!

So...now for what I have been doing....good grief...I love this...I feel like I am in kindergarten playing Show & Tell again....that was my favorite and boy oh boy did I take advantage of it...do you think I ever gave up a chance to get up there and be chatty??? Ummmm...NOT! LOL.....

So....here is one of my latest acquisitions...I am so dang EXCITED about this!!!! I am going to become a Photo Shop Diva if its the last thing I do! This has been a long time goal of mine and good golly, I must do it! Swear....don't laugh...I bought about 4 books *gulp*...probably didn't need that many..but you know how much I lurrrveeee my books....and you watch girlies...pretty soon ya'll are going to be swooning over my piccies...wanna make a bet???? *tee hee*

 

You girls know I live for my kids sports...and what a better thing to do on Friday night then to go to Peter Jr.'s Hockey game!!!! Yep....it was a blast. Swear...not only do I need that dang Photoshop, I also need a tutorial in shooting sport shots indoors...I have trouble with blurriness all the time...here are a couple of my more decent shots....my boy getting that dang puck....GO PETER.....dont let anyone get in your way!!!!!.......lol.....don't mind me girls...this is mild...I don't even want to tell you what I tell my guy to do on the ice.....*shock*....LOL...

 

Peter is #4 in the teal...ummm....yeah...do you think #5 got the puck from him??? NOT!!!! LOL....

 

Time OUT!!! There they are having their little POW WOW with the coach...GO PROWLERS!!!!!

So...you wanna learn how to be a Photoshop Diva???

I don't know about you girlies...but I have always wanted to learn how to make my pictures purrrrtier....and not only that, but I have always wanted to learn all those uber cool tricks like how to isolate one color on a photo....how to turn one colour into a completely different one...I always wondered what I would look like with jet black hair...LOL....I don't have the guts to try it out irl...but if I could see it first I just might pop for it. *tee hee* So....are we bringing you a series of PHOTOSHOP CLASSES so that you don't have to enroll at your local college...YOU BETCA! And we are doing it the right way....we are starting at the beginner entry level and we will take you all the way to expert....and who better to do this than our resident Elite Artist and expert Photographer JENI BOISVERT!!!

My gesso dilemma....have you heard?

I posted a while back in The Parlour about my GESSO DILEMMA....indulge me and read it if you haven't. While it surely posed quite the challenge that I have never been faced with in my two years of business, I am happy that we came up with the solution and literally cleaned out Dick Blick of their supply of Sandable Hard Gesso. Well girlies...here is the good news....looky what came today!!!!

 

We cleaned them out of every single gallon, quart, and 8 oz. size that they had!!!! And ya know...here is the ironic part...they had EXACTLY how many ounces we needed with only 2 more 8 oz. containers to spare....so with a chuckle...I said to add those to the order also and I would put them in my store. I felt it was my duty to create history as the operator told me. And by the way, not one to downplay excellent customer service, they were fabulous in helping me with this! They not only researched the right size bottles I would need to package these for you girls, but they also helped in calculating everything for me
AND after I told her what had happened she even made sure they expedited me to get shipped that same day instead of having to wait til the next day! They made me totally happy and thanks to them you girls will get your gesso! :) So....because I don't have a late night crew available tonight....look who's bottling for me.....

 

That's my Peter...he's a trooper and always willing to help me out whenever I need him!!! As soon as we fiinish bottling we will begin with shipping! Thanks girlies for all your understanding and patience with this!!! You have no idea how much I appreciate it!

bebop du bop bebop du bop...ta da......and for really girls...we have some serious swing going at the Bad Girly Club....ummmmm....hold on...I gotta get my Diet Coke...LOL....uh oh...you know what that means.....do you girls have your cuppa too??? OK....yayayyyyyyy!!!!!

Not to distract you or anything....but if you keep reading this post..you will find out how to win this BLOG CANDY!!!!........

ahhhhhh....the beauty of a gorgeous Sunday afternoon.....I know I am getting off track....it's the Diet Coke....oK....if you have no idea what the heck I'm talking about then you are new here....it's ok...I'm harmless...it's just that my drink of choice makes me yakity yak yak a lot...bless my girls who tolerate me....*tee hee*...so...looky what Peter found in our backyard last night....I have to share the beauty of one of my favorite things...Gods gift to us...nature.....

 

What I couldn't believe is that this momma bird decided to build this nest in the center of sago palm tree, especially since we have probably about 70 trees in our yard and many more behind us on a natural hill....check it out....I know you cant see the nest in the center, but I wanted to give you an idea....

 

Here you see them a little bit better....there are three little precious ones...every time I come out the back door the momma flies away and sometimes she starts squaking at me...LOL...she has no idea that I am harmless...*wink wink*

 

So...here I am outside and I start to survey my yard and OH MY....it seriously needs my attention...I love to garden and low and behold it has been a while since I have enjoyed digging my hands in the soil....must make a date with my garden soon *mental note*...but while I was out here shooting I took a pic of a couple of my favorite angels...I am a huge collector of angels...especially antique ones...take a look at this little sweetie who used to be in my house years ago until one of his wings broke off...well...not one to toss a sweet cherub, I put him in the garden about 12 years ago and he has taken on quite the gorgeous patina...

 

And I love this bench and this cute little miniature angel fountain...

 

and wait...now that I am sharing angels...lol...I have to share just two of my inside guardians...

 

 

by the way...that IS glitter on this ones wings...and SWEAR I didn't do it...it really came like that...probably why its my favorite!!! *tee hee*

OMG...and I have to share with you one of newest antique additions to my home....I searched for years for just the right pair of columns and finally found them in one of favorite antique shops ....lookie...

 

sooo pretty....they are about 10 feet in height and they flank my fireplace in my living room...I am in love with them!!! They are 18th century...can ya tell????

HOLY COW....I did get off on a tangent didn't I????? LOL....ok...so back to what I started with...new happenings at Bad Girls...OK...so are you girls EXCITED that we now have classes?????? Yayyyyy!!!! I am tickled pink that we are going to be offering you the opportunity to learn some really cool techniques and lessons every single month!!!
